After 18 face-to-face editions, the course How to develop a research project in health sciences presents its first online edition. With the same teaching staff and content adapted to the online format, the course introduces students to the basic techniques and skills for writing and applying for research projects to funding agencies and other institutions.
Aimed at
The course is mainly aimed at researchers with little experience in writing research projects in the health sciences who are in training programmes (doctorate, specialisation, or postgraduate, in general) and are or should be part of an active research group.
Content
The skills necessary to write a project in order to obtain funds for scientific research are presented, such as the bibliographic review and the precise justification of the need to generate knowledge around a problem.
It also explains how to state an innovative and attractive hypothesis, correctly formulate the objectives, select the method and find the appropriate research team, make a realistic work plan with the means and resources available and estimate the exact cost to be requested to achieve the research objective.
Finally, the course also helps to systematically present the different sections for the preparation of a research project and to apply for funding from the main financial agencies.
Format
This face-to-face course in virtual mode involves a participatory dynamic on the part of the attendees, with theoretical-practical presentations by the teaching staff and through various exercises based on real research projects of the students.
