Our mission
The Foundation forms part of Dr. Antoni Esteve’s legacy that grew from his commitment to science, to pharmacology, and to his country.
His vocation for pharmacology motivated diverse research projects and pOurublications in the hope that the work he undertook would endure through contributions to the development of modern therapeutics to promote welfare and progress.
What we do
We promote science
We organize conferences, roundtables, and seminars where scientists can compare and contrast knowledge and opinions about important topics in pharmacology in scientific debate.
We communicate science
We organize courses, debates, and seminars in which science and journalism converge with the aim of improving communication and the transfer and dissemination of scientific knowledge.
We develop the culture of science
We bring science closer to society through inclusive actions in which science and culture interact to disseminate scientific knowledge, and we help promote the use of the Catalan language for science.
We award outstanding research
The Dr. Antoni Esteve Research Award promotes science and quality by recognizing the best scientific article in pharmacology published in a prestigious international journal by an author of Spanish nationality; the winner is selected by an independent jury made up of internationally renowned pharmacologists.

His entrepreneurial spirit and his vocation for pharmacology led him to create the first original specialties on the second floor of the pharmacy that his family had had for five generations.
