The Dr. Antoni Esteve Foundation opens the call for a new edition of its Research Award. An international and independent jury will be in charge of highlighting the best pharmacology article published by an author of Spanish nationality in a scientific journal in 2021, 2022 or 2023. To this end, applications are now open and can be submitted until June 30, 2024. The financial endowment of the award is 25,000 euros, one of the highest in scientific matters within the Spanish territory.
The candidate article, which must be cited in the Science Citation Index, may cover any of the aspects of basic and/or clinical pharmacology (design, synthesis, galenic development, clinical or laboratory evaluation, use, etc.). The first author of the article must be of Spanish nationality, regardless of whether or not he/she resides in Spain. In the case of a collaborative work with authors from other countries, the first author must necessarily be of Spanish nationality.
To participate, any of the authors must fill in the following form and send the published article in PDF format, accompanied by a cover letter in PDF format and in English summarizing the most relevant contribution of the work in a maximum of ten lines. The publication date of the scientific article must be 2021, 2022 or 2023. Preprinted articles in electronic format (preprints) and those that are pending publication will be discarded. For articles that are only published in electronic format (non-printed modality), the date of electronic publication will be counted, which must be 2021, 2022 or 2023.
The submitted works will be evaluated by an international tribunal made up of three prominent members of the field of pharmacology. In this edition, the members of the jury of the Dr. Antoni Esteve Foundation Research Award are:
– Christian Beauséjour (University of Montreal, Canada)
– Ralf Jockers (Cochin Institute, France)
– Jaume Piulats (Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia, Barcelona)
Their decision will be announced in early September 2024. During the last quarter of the year, the Dr. Antoni Esteve Foundation Research Award ceremony will be held at the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia.
